An Open Letter to My Coffee Mug

An Open Letter to My Coffee Mug

Dear Coffee Mug,

You are my tiny hero. You hold hope in liquid form, and somehow, you make mornings feel possible even when my eyes are still half asleep and my hair looks like it lost a fight with a toddler. You have been there through early Zoom calls, late-night website edits, the quiet hours when the baby is finally asleep, but my to-do list is not, and the moments when I sit on the couch wondering how in the world I am supposed to get through another day.

You see me in my rawest moments. You see me reheating coffee three times because I keep forgetting it on the counter. You’ve seen the crumbs beside my keyboard, the tabs open on my browser that I swear I’ll get to eventually, and the half-folded laundry lurking in the background, silently judging my ability to adult. You’ve been there while I try to answer emails and school questions at the same time, pouring caffeine and courage into me like it’s your superpower. And yet, you never complain. You just sit there, full of warmth and possibility, like you know I am trying my best.

Sometimes you save me. Other times, you tease me. You spill when I am already late. You leave rings on my desk that I swear were not there five minutes ago. You remind me that life is imperfect, messy, and delicious all at once. You are proof that small things can have a huge impact.

You are more than a mug. You are a ritual, a pause, a deep breath in a house that never stops moving. You are my quiet cheerleader in a world of chaos. And even when I run out of coffee, I still look at you and smile, knowing that tomorrow we will try again together.

And the best part? We will never run out of coffee again, my loyal friend. The good stuff is just a click away at Mama Bearista Coffee. Because if anyone deserves freshly roasted sanity-in-a-cup, it is us.

So here is my thank you, my tiny, steaming friend. Thank you for holding my coffee, my sanity, and sometimes my tears. Thank you for being constant when everything else is spinning. Thank you for reminding me that even in chaos, there are small comforts worth savoring.

Signed,
Jalyn
